Hi Everyone,
We are always looking for great places to photograph dogs near Gig Harbor. We’ve gone to some wonderful spots that check all the boxes – scenic, a good variety of backgrounds, and fairly quiet. We try to schedule sessions during the weekdays to avoid distractions for our furry friends, but that is not always possible. So, we are always on the lookout for great places that also don’t have big crowds on the weekends. Fortunately, a client suggested Bella Bella Beach (officially known as the Tacoma DeMolay Sandspit). We had to scout this location and we loved what we found. This location on Fox Island was not crowded, even on the weekend! It also checked all the other boxes. It’s very scenic with the possibility of both catching the sun at sunrise and sunset! There are a nice variety of backgrounds including the beach, logs, some nice trees, grass and picnic tables. The location is fairly small, so you can move quickly between backgrounds. To summarize it’s a great spot! Below is a video that shows our scouting mission:
We also brought our senior dog Ryan for some beach photos. This old fellow is now a reluctant model, but we still got some nice photos right at sunset.
