Family and Pet Photography at its Best!
Meet the Snyders: Erin, Mike and their three spirited children -Alexis, Gavin and Morgan. But this family of five isn’t complete without their three furry companions: Atlas, Denali and Kahlan, the gentle giants known as Bernese Mountain Dogs. Today we’re taking a peek into their daily lives and the joyful chaos that comes with having three kids and some large, lovable dogs.
They know how to have fun!
Erin and Mike picked a great location for a family photo session with their beautiful dogs. The session took place at Sequalitchew Creek Trail in Du Pont, Washington. This trail has great places for photography with a nice grassy area, a beautiful background for family photos and scenic meandering paths for action and individual photos. When the Snyders arrived for their Angel Dog Photography session, they were organized, showed great team spirit, and were ready for a fun experience! It was clear their mission was to capture images that will have lasting memories for the entire family.

The Snyder’s helped us so much during the session! Once we were set up and ready to start the photo session with lights, camera and action, it was smooth sailing. The kids and dogs were having fun and were so well behaved! You see, in addition to being good parents to these great kids, Erin and Mike know how to raise their dogs. They are breeders of Bernese Mountain Dogs and have a keen understanding of how to train them. They’re still dogs and love to have fun, but they also were easy to work with and photograph. Of course, their children were the same. This allowed us to quickly move through several locations and different scenes with the entire family.

Action Photos
Next we moved to a great trail for action photos where we captured images of the Snyder children running with their dogs. Each kid had a dog they were particularly bonded to, so we paired them up for these pictures. The dogs and kids shared those contagious smiles allowing us to create more special memories.

Next we photographed the dogs with their people, including Mom and Dad.
A Big Thank You to the Snyders!
We were blessed to photograph this wonderful family. The location scenes for the photo session were spread far apart, and we needed help carrying our big lights. Mike to the rescue. He willingly moved the lights so we could keep the session moving efficiently. Everyone was great while keeping the dogs hydrated, happy, safe and engaged which made this such a rewarding experience.
Bernese Mountain Dogs are Amazing!
If you didn’t know, this breed of dogs is a perfect blend of fun energy, and is a gentle family dog. They are wonderful with children and just a joy to be around. As I mentioned earlier in this article, the Snyders are Bernese Mountain Dog breeders and have a keen understanding of how to care for this special breed.
