Angel Dog Photography had a booth at San Jose’s annual Bark In The Park last Saturday. The event was well attended, and we made many new canine and human friends. It was an awesome event! According to the San Jose Mercury News over 4000 dogs attended. Some of the highlights included a dog costume contest, training, agility, fly ball demonstrations and a demonstration by the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue K9 Unit.
Many pet rescues were there including the German Shepard Rescue of Northern California, Greyhound Friends for Life and Jake’s Wish Dog Rescue. Most importantly, some of the proceeds from Bark in the Park are donated to local pet charities – $150,000 over the last 22 years. There were also many great dog related businesses including vets, groomers like Dr Dave’s (where we get our dog groomed) pet boutiques, pet trainers and even a dog painter.
We want to thank everyone who visited Angel Dog Photography’s booth with their beautiful fur children. We were especially appreciative of a visit from some of our favorite photography subjects – Socks and Leo. As you can see in the photo to the left, they made themselves right at home!
Angel Dog Photography sends a special thank you to Teena Davis and her boyfriend John, Teena’s Mom Terri and her sister, Hannah. They are wonderful friends and did the nicest thing – they helped us take down our booth and load our SUV after a long day.
Many of you signed up for our drawing, and we will be getting back to the winners this next week.
Angel Dog Photography looks forward to participating at Bark in the Park and supporting this event for years to come. If you haven’t had an opportunity to attend this wonderful event, put it on your calendar for next year.
